After a rigorous examination, we now have the pleasure of announcing the winners. We urge you to read the judges' comments and evaluations as well.

No entries won the Silver Prize. For the Special Prize, three entries were selected by all the judges, not respectively by each judge, partly because the entries included the same products.

Thank you for the many entries for the Muji Award 02 from all over the world. The current theme was “RE”. We also are addressing this theme day in, day out, groping for novel ideas that raise the awareness and increase the understanding of many people in the world. We had many entries that were exciting to us, and we enjoyed the process of examination. However, obtrusive or far-fetched products are taboo with Muji. That’s why only one entry won the Gold Prize and three won the Special Prize. The Gold-Prize winner, the “Towel with further options” made us feel the most chagrined. This is because towels actually are in such a form during the production process. We have to admit that the entry is also great in light of the idea of cherishing what you have, which we must value for today’s lifestyle.

Congratulations to all the winners! And we again thank all the participants.
